The Founder + Visionary
Dr. Chelsey Devaleriola

As a strong advocate for Integrative + alternative health care practices, Dr. Devaleriola recognized a need to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western Medicine. Being immersed in health care as a former Registered Nurse, Chelsey recognizes the importance of collaborative care (the combination of both Western & Eastern Medicine) to optimize patient outcomes, health + overall well-being.

Chelsey's vision was to develop a clinic space that prioritizes patient-centred care, that encompasses all aspects of  what brings health + wellness to the patient. Sacred Roots Wellness is clinic space that encompasses the ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine teachings, that is guided by modern integrated science. Sacred Roots Wellness has sprouted from once this planted seed to now, an entire Integrative health care team that has been carefully sought out to best serve the needs + well-being of our community & surrounding areas.

Meet Dr. Pam MacDonald,

I grew up on a farm in the North Saskatchewan River Valley by Buck Creek, Alberta. I moved to Edmonton to study animal biology at the U of A and that is where I met my musical farmer husband, Joe Vickers. Joe has a deep love for Drumheller and I knew that one day I too would become a local.

After my biology degree I completed a five year doctorate in naturopathic medicine in Portland, Oregon. My clinical training focused mostly on pregnancy, natural childbirth, postpartum care for parents and infants, and gender affirming care. This area of naturopathic medicine is a passion for me because I believe that these are the areas of healthcare where prevention is paramount and has lifelong (and multi-generational) implications.

Now I spend my days working to improve the well being of infants and their parent(s) and my evenings trying new recipes, listening to records and chasing my munchkins around the river valley.
